Mesh questions and answers
Mesh helps adults meet in small local groups. These answers explain the meetup formats, matching, pricing, cities, and what happens after you accept an invite.
Common questions
How does Mesh work?
Mesh helps you meet people in small, low-pressure groups. Join Mesh Coffee for age-matched Saturday morning coffee meetups, come to Mesh Night for evening socials at local venues, or host and join Mesh Events where Mesh handles matching, group chats, and logistics.
What kind of groups does Mesh create?
Mesh creates small, low-pressure groups for meeting people through local events, coffee shops, dinners, and community gatherings.
What cities is Mesh available in?
Mesh hosts events in Madison, Milwaukee, Saint Louis, Nashville, Raleigh, Charlotte, and Minneapolis. People in other cities can join the waitlist or host their own Mesh Event, though attendance depends on local demand.
How much does Mesh cost?
Users may receive an invite for free, but accepting an invite requires either premium access or a Mesh Pass. Mesh offers passes as one-to-one event tickets and subscription options for broader access. User-hosted events are currently free to create and attend. Pricing and promotions can change, so users should check the app for current details.
What age groups does Mesh cater to?
Mesh caters to adults of all ages, typically grouped into 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50+. We ensure you meet people in a similar life stage to increase the chances of meaningful connections.
Does my questionnaire show up on my profile?
No. Mesh uses questionnaire answers for matching and group fit. They do not show up on a user's public profile for everyone else to see.
Is Mesh matching automatic?
Mesh uses software to organize matching signals, but groups are curated with human review and operational judgment. The goal is to make each group make sense for the event, city, and people who accepted.
Is Mesh good for people with social anxiety?
Yes, Mesh is designed to be social anxiety friendly. Our small group format (just 4 people total) and structured meetups in public places make socializing more comfortable and less overwhelming.
Why does an event say 15 spots left?
The spots-left number is an availability display, not always an exact live signup counter. If an event is still open in the app, users can follow the app flow to accept it.
What are Mesh Events?
Mesh Events lets anyone host their own meetup on Mesh. Pick a place, pick a time, and we handle the rest — matching attendees into groups of four, setting up group chats, and running the same logistics you get from a regular Mesh. It's free to join for a limited time.
